DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE AND MATHIBELA FOUNDATION JOIN HANDS TO PROMOTE ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION

The Department of Agriculture, in partnership with the Mathibela Foundation, planted five trees at Oakley Green House on 14 October 2026 as part of an initiative aimed at promoting environmental conservation.
The initiative forms part of efforts to encourage communities to take care of nature and recognise the importance of protecting the environment for future generations.

Tree planting plays a vital role in maintaining ecological balance, improving air quality and contributing to a healthier environment.
Through this partnership, the Department of Agriculture and the Mathibela Foundation continue to highlight the importance of environmental responsibility and encourage communities to take an active role in preserving nature.
