Elderly Man Found Alive in Bushes
A 92-year-old man from Masibekela, Mbuzini, has been found alive after spending two days missing in the dense bushes. Solomon Majomeya Sithole was discovered on Tuesday afternoon following an intensive joint search by police, family members and the local community.
nnnnAccording to police, Sithole was reported missing on Monday morning, prompting an immediate search that continued until nightfall. The operation resumed the next day with the support of the Mpumalanga Police Search and Rescue Team, Crime Intelligence, and a drone operated by a Tonga SAPS member.
nnnnDespite hours of searching on Tuesday, there was still no sign of the elderly man until a police helicopter was deployed around 14:20. The Air Wing team eventually spotted him lying under a tree deep in the bush. He was airlifted to the nearest hospital for medical care.
