Family Seeks Toy Donations for Sister
The family of Morongwa Phori, a 60-year-old woman with a mental disability, is appealing for toy donations to bring her comfort and joy.
nnnnAccording to her family, Morongwa, who is about 1m tall—the average height of a seven- or eight-year-old—finds relaxation and mental stimulation in playing with toys.
nnnnHer caretaker and older sister, Sarah, described her as a loving and cheerful person. “She gets along well with children and has a child-like love for toys. She’s always smiling and is a joy to be around,” said Sarah.
nnnnThe siblings grew up in a family of five, but Sarah now cares for Morongwa alone, as their parents and other siblings have passed away.
nnnnWhile Morongwa has not been formally diagnosed, her disability has limited her ability to pursue education or other life experiences. Despite these challenges, she remains fiercely independent.
nnnnOn December 24, the family and their community celebrated her 60th birthday, expressing gratitude for her health and long life.
