Human Remains Found in Boikhutso Bushes
Police have launched an investigation after human remains were discovered in the bushes near Boikhutso Trust, Bushbuckridge, on Monday, 30 September 2025.
nnnnAccording to police, the remains are believed to be those of an unidentified male and were found in a severely burned condition. A pair of brown sneakers was recovered next to the skeletal remains.
nnnnAn inquest docket has been opened as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
nnnnPolice are appealing to members of the public to assist in identifying the deceased. Families who may be missing a relative are urged to visit Bushbuckridge Police Station and speak with Detective Warrant Officer Matome Shokane on 076 927 6858. Alternatively, information can be reported through the Crime Stop number on 08600 10111 or via the MySAPS App.
