NLC and Red Cross Deliver Humanitarian Relief to 200 Beneficiaries in Mbombela

The National Lotteries Commission (NLC), in partnership with the South African Red Cross Society, has provided humanitarian relief to 200 beneficiaries from the Swalala Trust community in Mbombela Local Municipality, Ehlanzeni District.
The relief distribution took place on Thursday, 29 October 2026, with beneficiaries receiving humanitarian relief parcels and hot meals to support their immediate needs.

The initiative was made possible through funding provided by the NLC to the South African Red Cross Society, enabling the organisation to extend assistance to vulnerable community members.
Officials from the South African Red Cross Society in Mpumalanga, the Department of Social Development and the NLC attended the handover.
The initiative highlights the importance of partnerships between government institutions and humanitarian organisations in addressing the needs of vulnerable communities and providing essential support to those in need.
