Premier Ndlovu Hands Over New Home to Senotlelo Family

Mpumalanga Premier Mandla Ndlovu has handed over a newly built and fully furnished home to Mama Selinah Mandla in Senotlelo Village, Dr JS Moroka Local Municipality.

The house, built through a partnership between the provincial government and Absa Bank, has three bedrooms, a lounge, kitchen and bathroom, as well as a solar energy system with three panels.

Mama Selinah previously lived in extremely difficult conditions with her daughter, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren in a structure described as resembling a chicken coop.

The Bakgatla Ba Mocha Traditional Council, led by Kgosi Moepi, donated the land for the construction of the new home.

During the handover, Premier Ndlovu thanked Absa for supporting government efforts to improve the living conditions of vulnerable families.

He said partnerships with the private sector were important in helping government address the housing backlog and improve the lives of communities.
